Library, in MelayuOnline, is defined as a collection of books, sources and references maintained by Center for Research and Development of Malay Culture in Yogyakarta. The collection are acquired by purchase, gift and exchanging. Much of it concerns Malay culture, and some on other related themes. In addition, this website includes variety of book collections from other libraries in Indonesia and other countries in the world. MelayuOnline, however, provides mere information and catalogue of Malay culture books. This technique is aimed to document the Malay literatures scattered in all over the world.

Some of the libraries located in Gadjah Mada University (Yogyakarta), Islamic University of Indonesia (Yogyakarta), Pajajaran University (Bandung), University of Indonesia (Jakarta), National Library of Indonesia and others. International libraries include Malaysia Library, Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (Malaysia), University of Kebangsaan Malaysia (Malaysia), Academy of Tamadun Melayu (Malaysia), Malaysia Univeristy (Malaysia), National Library of Singapore (Singapore), Brunei Library (Brunei), Australian National University (Australia), Universiteit Leiden Library (Netherlands), New York University (USA), University California Library America/UCLA (USA), Cornell University Library (USA), and other international libraries.

To make users easier, they are suggested to search for the book they want by typing key word (title, author, and subject) in one or more libraries.
