Selangor Celebrate Mooncake Festival at I-City
Shah Alam, Malaysia - The Selangor state government Sunday night celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival at i-City, a technology based township development in Section 7 here.
The inaugural celebration by the state government was in conjunction with the festival that was also known as the Moon cake or Lantern Festival among the Chinese and showcased lion and dragon dance performances as well as a 24 festive drums display.
The state government also hosted a dinner for the Asian investment communities and officials from Asian country embassies who also ushered in the festival.
Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim and Tan Sri Lim Kim Hong, executive chairman of I-Bhd, the developer of I-City, released a red coloured sky lantern into the sky as a symbolic launch of the celebration.
The celebration was part of efforts to promote i-City as the investment location for investors and tourism sector in Selangor.
i-City provides 20 Megabits per second high speed multi-telco brand connectivity, fibre optic networks with backup power supply, Tier 4 Ready Data Centre as well as concierge services, including receptionist and secretarial services.
