A Night Of Islamic Culture And Art

Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam - With an underlying theme of Tor You Ya Rasulullah: The Leader’, the Village Consultative Council (MPK) of Lumut 1 launched its first major event an Islamic culture and art night.

The main objective of the event was to bring together all members of the village community, specifically the youth, for the purpose of increasing the spirit of cooperation, inculcating a sense of solidarity among residents in the area, as well as providing entertainment that spread messages of morality and faith.

It is hoped that more events of this nature will continue to be held in order to promote, stengthen and maintain the Malay Islamic Monarchy philosphy.

Present at the event were event advisor and Head of Lumut 1 village, Haji Mohd Shafiee bin Ahmad, the guest of honour, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Awang Haji Ismail bin Haji Abdul Manaf, who was accompanied by his wife, as well as Belait District Officer, Awg Matusin bin Orang Kaya Sura Haji Tuba.
