TMII Registered as the Indonesian Culture Conservationist
Jakarta, Indonesia - Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) has entered the age of 36th. As the gift, the Indonesian President will turn the TMII as the Indonesian cultural conservationist institutions. TMII will also be registered by the Culture and Tourism Minister to UNESCO as the nation`s cultural heritage.
Culture and Tourism Minister Jero Wacik said the TMII appropriate to be registered to UNESCO because it has proven its existence in conserving the national culture. The TMII also saves the culture objects from many provinces. It is hoped, TMII is more popular in international world and becoming part of world`s asset.
"The Indonesian should respect the predecessor`s work because it is kindness to the nation and state," he stated during the 36th anniversary of TMII, Wednesday (4/20) tonight.
Jero Wacik mentioned the TMII will remind for Mrs. Tien Soeharto`s figure which has idea to develop the TMII. The great nation is ready to appreciate the works of his predecessors.
According to him, if the tourist wants to know about Indonesia, they could visit the TMII as the miniature of Indonesia.
Jakarta Vice Governor Prijanto is supportingminister`s step to register the TMII as the Indonesian cultural conservationist institutions and it hopes in the future the TMII will more strong and exist in preserving national culture.
Meanwhile, in the 36th anniversary of TMII, the management provided variety of entertainment. The local residents were visiting the place with free of charge from 8 am to 12 am.
The management`s official presents variety of exciting entertainment. Starting from a spectacular fireworks show at Plaza Arsipel, sounds of gamelan corobalen and dancing holy bima dance in 36 hours, 36 minutes, 36 seconds.
