Togean Festival 2011 Variety of Cultural Uniqueness

Jakarta, Indonesia - From March 23 until July 27, 2011 Togean charming islands will be more beautiful with the presence of Togean Festival 2011. This festival is a unique combination that blends the natural beauty of land and under water with a unique culturally diverse marine community. This festival is part of a grand campaign Tomini Sail 2012.

Togean Festival 2011 will be enlivened Underwater Photography, Cruising Togean, Traditional Fishing, Boat Parade Ornamental, Culinary Tour, performing arts and culture, and there are Rally Photo. The festival will also enlivened traditional dive special attractions of the Bajo tribe who inhabit these islands. They are reliable divers who dive under the water a long time without the aid of breathing equipment.

Togean 2011 festival was first held in 2008. This year will be attended by representatives from all cities and counties in the province of Central Sulawesi. Besides, there were also delegates from neighboring provinces.

The festival is scheduled to open officially the Governor of Central Sulawesi, on July 23, 2011. The second day of the show will be filled decorative boat competitions, Togean exploration, underwater photography and Rally. The third day will be filled in the traditional fishing competition and arts and cultural performances at night. The final day will conclude with a culinary festival and special performances and some local entertainment.
