P. Ramlee The Musical goes to Singapore
Kuala Lumpur -Theatres On The Bay in Singapore will present P. Ramlee The Musical. The Life, The Loves and The Inspiration (Season 2) from May 17 to 19, under the auspices of its Pentas — Setting The Stage series.
P. Ramlee The Musical pays tribute to Malaysia‘s most consummate entertainer the late Tan Sri P. Ramlee who dominated the silver screen from the 1950s to 1970s.
Produced by the winning team that presented Puteri Gunung Ledang, it performed to a full house during its first run at Istana Budaya, Kuala Lumpur, last October and November.
Its Singapore run will feature a stellar line-up of stars from Malaysia. It will also showcase musical arrangements by noted Singapore musician Dick Lee and prominent Malaysian composer
Roslan Aziz.
There will be performances daily at 8pm and a Saturday matinee at 2.30pm. Tickets are available at all SISTIC outlets (hotline 65-6348 5555) and the following websites: www.sistic.com or www.esplanade.com.
