Readying for Royal Celebration
Tutong District - Over 1,000 students and participants from various ethnic groups yesterday joined a full-dress rehearsal at the field near SufriBolkiahSecondary School, Tutong District, as part of the preparation for His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam`s 62nd birthday celebration.
Among those present at the rehearsal were Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Adanan bin Begawan Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Mhd Yusof and his deputy Pehin Orang Kaya Dewa Pahlawan Dato Paduka Awang Haji Dani bin Haji Ibrahim, and Tutong District Officer Haji Jamain Momin.
Activities lined up for the upcoming celebration include: special performances carrying the theme, "Raja Disanjung Titah Disanjung"; dance performances titled "Sirih Pinang Tari Melayu" and "Joget Cinta Sakti"; dance performance "Lagu Rindu" by students; and ethnic dance performance called "Ta`at".
