USM Rector to Support the International Academic Writing Competition

Yogyakarta, Melayuonline.com- Support for the International Academic Writing Competition (LKTI) organized by the Center for Research and Development of Malay Culture (BKPBM) in cooperation with the Center for Southeast Asian Social Studies of Gadjah Mada University (PSSAT-UGM), never stops flowing to the committee. Not only from domestic, but now, one financial support comes also from international world.

Rector of University of Sains Malaysia (USM), Prof. Tan Sri Dato‘ Dzulkifli Abdul Razak, promised a financial support to the first winner of the competition. That good news was confirmed by one of MelayuOnline.com‘s consultants in Malaysia, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Haji Salleh, on Thursday (11/09/08). He remarked that the support is an appreciation of University of Sains Malaysia towards the intellectuality and awareness of multicultural in Southeast Asian by BKPBM.

Mahyudin Al Mudra – the Head of BKPBM – welcomed cordially that financial support. He likewise would like to deliver his gratitude to Prof. Tan Sri Dato‘ Dzulkifli Abdul Razak for the financial support for the first winner of the competition.

 “That financial support is a sign that BKPBM‘s programmes to rise up the awareness of multiculturalism amongst the Malay people can still attract positive responses from the broader public,” Mahyudin said.
