Three Winning Papers of 2008 International LKTI Announced

Yogyakarta, MelayuOnline.com - The 2008 International Academic Writing Competition (LKTI), which was held by the Center for Research and Development of Malay Culture (BKPBM) and the Center for Southeast Asia Social Studies of Gadjah Mada University (PSSAT-UGM), has chosen three winning papers.

Total papers coming to the committee were counted at 169. Those papers were reviewed administratively by the committee then resulted in 97 papers. Next, the remaining 97 papers were sorted based on the appropriateness to the themes by the ajudicators.

The juries alone have set four winning positions but unfortunately, there is no paper that meets the criteria for crowning the first position. The reviewing criteria encompass language usage, logical order, originality, relevancy to the theme, and referencing style. The three winning papers occupy the first runner-up, the second runner-up, and the third runner-up.
