Ikan Tamban Masak Asam Pedas

Ingredients :

  • ¾ Tamban fish
  • 1 bulb onion

Seasonings :

  • ½ ounce dried chili, ground
  • 3 cloves garlic, ground
  • 6 cloves shallot, ground
  • 2 cm ginger, ground
  • Salt
  • Tamarind water
  • Sugar

Directions :

  1. Take tamban fish, sear, and remove its scales, and set aside
  2. In a frying pan, sauté the chili, and other seasonings 
  3. Pour the tamarind water into sautéed seasonings, and bring to boil.
  4. Add the tamban fish, mix with onion, sugar and salt to taste
  5. Simmer several minutes until the gravy coagulate
  6. Serve warm
