Temple de Tinggi
Tinggi temple was found in Jambi estuary, in a site near to Stano temple. Schnitger, a dutch archeologist called the temple as Gumpung temple. However, the prevalent opinion among local people proposes the other as Gumpung was the name of another temple. The Tinggi temple is located in trench surrounded area.
Most of the buildings in the temple complex have ruined. However, it is possible to rebuild and reconstruct the temple based on the remainders of the ruin. The temple consists of foundation (ground plan), main part (structure) and upper side (roof). The height of foundation is about 2.65 meters. In the main part, there are several treads starting from vestibule (entrance hall) to the main part of the temple. In addition, the stairs, 3 meters in width, encircles the main part of the temple. Those were made for parapet walk in special ceremony to walk around the temple in Paradhaksina manner. It is assumed the structure of the temple is similar to that of stupa.
To enter the main part of the temple, there is a gate looks out on the south. The temple is furnished by a portal 20 meters in height. The total width of temple is about 75m x 92.5 m.
