Royal congratulations for Independence Day of Philippines

Bandar Seri Begawan - His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send a congratulatory message to the President of the Republic of the Philippines, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, on the occasion of the Independence Day Anniversary of the Republic of the Philippines.

In his message, His Majesty expressed his satisfaction with the warm relations and close cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of the Philippines, which continues to progress and strengthen. His Majesty also expressed his hope that this will be maintained and further enhanced in the future both bilaterally, in Asean and the international area.

His Majesty also hoped that President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo would always remain in good health and happiness, and for the people of the Republic of the Philippines to always enjoy continued progress and prosperity.

Meanwhile, in a separate message His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, sent a congratulatory message to Alberto G Romulo, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines.

HRH Prince Mohamed Bolkiah sent his warmest congratulations to him and to the Government and the people of the Republic of the Philippines.

HRH Prince Mohammed Bolkiah said, "It has been a pleasure working with you over the past year and I look forward to continuing our work together to strengthen our valued bilateral relations and our international and regional cooperation". (By Azaraimy HH)
