Indonesians Invited To 62nd Independence Day Celebration

Bandar Seri Begawan- On the occasion of the 62nd Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, a flag hoisting ceremony will be held at the Indonesian Embassy on August 17 at 7.30 am.

The ceremony will also see the singing of the national anthem and the delivering of a speech by Ambassador Herijanto Soeprapto, stated a press release from the Indonesian Embassy.

Several games and contests for kids and adults alike have been lined-up, among them - a tug of war, slipper tandem race, rice sack race and picture colouring. Interesting prizes await the winners.

Ambassador Herijanto invites all Indonesian citizens working and residing here to attend the event. He also calls on the consideration and kind cooperation of employers to provide permission to their Indonesian employees to be able to attend the ceremony. The embassy is, located at Spg 528, Kg Sg Hanching in Jalan Muara.
