Japanese Students In Brunei To Experience Local Culture
Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam - Last weekend, 10 students from RikkyoUniversity in Japan visited Brunei on a study homestay tour from March 5 until 10.
Two of the students Ayaka Morita and Yuko Inoue did their homestay programme with the family of Frankie Cheong.
The programme was sponsored by the Brunei Japan Friendship Association. The participants experienced the culture, traditions and way of life of the Bruneians during their visit.
Aside from interacting with UBD students in various activities such as hiking and kayaking, Ayaka Morita and Yuko Inoue also went on a boat ride to Temburong.
They were also introduced to the many local delicacies such as satay, ikan panggang and ambuyat and visited the various landmarks of Brunei such as the Jame’ Asr Hassanil Bolkiah mosque, Brunei Museum, Royal Regalia, Malay Technology Museum and the Cultural Gallery in Kampung Ayer. - Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin Cheong Huat Seng
