Takaful Retirement Plan To Promote Savings Culture

This plan is one of the product lines under the "Family Takaful Plan" launched with the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.

The purpose of the "Takaful Retirement Plan" is to encourage the public to adopt a savings culture, which is in line with the aspirations of His Majesty‘s Government.

"Takaful Retirement Plan" is one of the alternative plans to help the public have a systematic savings fund, which will be used as their retirement fund. This product will cover the participants against death and permanent total disablement, and is open to anyone between 18 and 55 years old.

Minimum monthly deposits can be as low as $15 per month. However, participants are encouraged to contribute more to their savings for the benefit of their future.

The duration of the savings is between five and 40 years.

Upon maturity, the participant will receive the accumulated amount from their monthly contributions in their "Takaful Retirement Plan" account, including profits from their respective savings account and Mudharabah (profit sharing) from their special account.

In the event of death or permanent total disablement, the beneficiary / participant will receive the accumulated amount in the participant‘s account plus its profits and Takaful benefits.

In conjunction with the launch, Takaful IBB Bhd is currently having a promotion, whereby the first 100 new participants will receive a $20 voucher from Royal Brunei Catering .
