Language Forum To Be Held On April 23
Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam - The Language and Literature Bureau is set to organise a Language Forum on April -23 at the International Convention Centre.
The forum is one of the side activities of the 24th National Day celebrations.
Minister of Communications Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kema Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong is expected to attend the event as the guest of honour.
Themed "Belia Sebagai Tunas Penerus Kelangsungan Bahasa Melayu", the forum will be chaired by Acting Director of Information Awang Haji Mahrub bin Haji Murni.
The panel will comprise: History Centre Head Pehin Jawatan Dalam Seri Maharaja Seri Utama (Dr) HajiAwang Mohd Jamil AI-Sufri, Language and Literature Bureau Director Dr Mataim bin Bakar, and Brunei Youth Council President Professor Madya Dr Haji Hashim bin Haji Abdul Hamid.
Among the objectives of the forum is to strengthen the symbol of Malay language among the youth (James Kon).
