Majlis Ugama Islam Brunei helps sponsor student
Brunei - Majlis Ugama Islam Brunei yesterday sponsored a less privileged student and provided her financial help for further studies at UBD.
Nurkhairunisa Arbica Abdullah Merdan received $2,600 for her academic fees and semester allowance. In 2005, the body also presented her with $3,900 for similar expenses.
"We have already sponsored over 10 students," said Acting Secretary Hj Abd Wahab Sapar. "We hope that she would be able to continue her studies with the help that we are providing."
