Tutong rehearsal for Sultan`s b`day celebration

Tutong - Rehearsal for raising the giant national flag in conjunction with the 62nd birthday celebration of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was held yesterday at the open foyer of Pasarneka dan Tamu Tutong Complex in Serambangun, Tutong.

Attending the rehearsal was Orang Kaya Jaya Putra Dato Paduka Awang Hj Muhammad Taha bin Abd Rauf, Penghulu Mukim Keriam; Awg Hj Jamain bin Momin, Tutong District Officer and State Legislative Council members.

About 150 participants comprising government officials and members of staff and committees also attended the rehearsal.

Apart from that, a rehearsal for the handing over ceremony for normal sized flags was also held.

Other than rehearsing for Sultan`s birthday celebration, stages and arches were also being set up which will soon beautify the road and surroundings of Tutong. The official flag hoisting and distribution of flags ceremony will be held next Tuesday, July 1. By Rina Emizza AR
