Yudhoyono opens Central Sulawesi Expo

Palu - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono was scheduled to dedicate the 2008 Central Sulawesi Expo in Talise beach, Palu, on Tuesday (Aug 26).

Ekky Nur Setyawan, the Project Manager, told the press here on Monday that the information on the president to open the expo was obtained from the event`s organizing committee.

Besides promoting the province as a safe region deserved to be visited by domestic and foreign tourists, the event also aims to lure more investors to to the region.

Ekky also said the president and members of his entourage would have the opportunity to have a close look at the expo held in a 2000 square meters of land before flying back to Jakarta.

Before opening the expo, the head of state will first of all open the ninth congress of Alkhairaat organization in Dolo, Donggala district, Central Sulawesi, about 12 km south of Palu City.

The participants in the expo in Palu to take place from August 26 to 30, include govenment institutions and gancies, and private businesses, Ekky said.
