MelayuOnline.com: Portal on the Global Malay World

Singapore- This time, Radio Singapore International is going to take you to have a brief sight on the works of some people who care about the development of Malay culture through the internet world.

Yes, there is a portal on the global Malay world that is managed by Balai Kajian dan Pengembangan Budaya Melayu-BKPBM (Center for Research and Development of Malay Culture) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The website was named MelayuOnline.com.

I tried to make a contact with H. Mahyudin Al Mudra, SH. MM., the founding father of the website as well as the head of BKPBM. I tried to gain more information about MelayuOnline.com.

Principally, MelayuOnline.com is a portal on the global Malay world that tries to offer the world with knowledge on Malay cultural heritage. It offers the world with news on the dynamics of Malay Culture, Malay History,  Malay Literature, Malay Figure, Researchers, and many more.

The website was established on January 20^th, 2007. How wonderful, such a comprehensive website is only managed by 13 crews within.

This is perhaps inline with a saying that there are boundaries no more when people are eager to communicate with each other in this globalize world. Hence I like to say that MelayuOnline.com is a medium that reminds us, the Malay people, about our culture, our homes, and our erstwhile friends.

With MelayuOnline.com, the Malay people have now found the destination when they are missing Malay, just like a pantun below:
