Inscriptions
Inscription is an old writing artifact written whether on the stone, metal, clay, animal horns or other materials, and is studied in epigraphy. The eldest inscriptions found in Indonesia in the 5th century CE in the form of inscription on five yupas in Kutai area. Meanwhile, the inscriptions linked to Malay were found in South Sumatra, Jambi, Riau, Crivijaya and Malay kingdoms. But probably, there are many inscriptions of Malay that have not been yet revealed, or are already revealed but have not been encompassed yet on this portal.
