I found your website via Google while I was searching for "silk ikat sarong". I wonder if you can help me with the following question :

A few months ago my 94 years old uncle gave me a silk ikat sarong embroidered with gold. (See attached pictures). He told me he bought this sarong during a stay in Indonesia around 1950 and that it was quite expensive for that time. I wonder what the current value of this sarong could be. Not so long ago I visited Kuala Lumpur and came across a very expensive silk ikat sarong in a shop with Asian artifacts. It was framed and not for sale. It looked very much like the sarong I have got.

Hopefully you can give me an indication of the value of this piece. Thanking you in advance,
