Belian is a traditional curing rite practiced among Petalangan people in Kabupaten Pelalawan, Riau Province. Belian will be applied for a sick person after other traditional curing efforts do not work. The leader in the procession of Belian is called Kemantan. He is usually assisted by a Tuo Longkap, a Pebayu, a Bujang Nobat, and a Bujang Damar.
