Temple

Temple is an old building made from the arranged stone that was established as the place of the performing of Buddhist and Hindu ceremony. Initially, the building, that was regarded as a holy place, was used to keep ash of the king who died. But together with the historical development, the function of temple turned to be the worshiping place where people worshiped gods and honored the died king. For a certain community, temple was regarded as the holy place where the gods resided inside. In addition, the Buddhist temple usually has the stupa and the turret that symbolised Buddha. Muara Takus Temple found in Kampar, Riau, Indonesia, is one of the legacies of Buddhist civilization. Mostly, there were reliefs at the walls of both Budhhist and Hindu‘s temple, but unfortunately, several amounts of reliefs meaning have not been yet revealed by the archaeologists.
