Traditional Welcome For Alai Krathong Performers
Bandar Seri Begawan -The first of the three Thai performing groups who will be showcasing two hours of joint traditional cultural performances, called Alai Krathong, arrived in Brunei Darussalam yesterday.
The show, in which leading artistes from Brunei Darussalam and Thailand will be participating, comes under the Memorandum of Understanding between RTB and RTH, and will be taking place on the night of August 17 at the JPCC Amphitheatre.
On hand to greet the Thai contingent upon arrival were officials from the Tourism Development Department and a group of Hadrah performers. Also present were RTB officials, including Hjh Sabrina Hj Mislee, Head of English Broadcast, Pilihan Network.
During their stay in Brunei Darussalam, the Thai performers will also be visiting a number of tourist destinations.
