`Best city` Ubud to Host Celebration Next Month
Jakarta, Indonesia - Dubbed “The Best City in Asia” by US-based Conde Nast traveler magazine, Ubud will host a festival called Gempita Gianyar 2010 from July 2-3 to celebrate the honor.
“The festival will be full of arts and cultural shows that represent Ubud as the best city in Asia,” Gianyar Regent Tjokorda Oka Ardhana said Wednesday as quoted by kompas.com.
The event, which is expected to draw 5,000 domestic and international tourists, would entertain visitors with cultural performances, a carnival and culinary delights, he added.
