Baubau, S Korea Set for Cooperation in Agriculture

Baubau, Indonesia - The Baubau city administration in Southeast Sulawesi and the Korean government were set to cooperate in the agricultural field.

"Earlier, cooperation in education, culture and tourism, now Baubau was set to cooperate with the Korean government in agriculture," Baubau Mayor Mz Amirul Tamim said here Monday.

He said the Korean government had drawn up a book on farming. The book had been compiled entirely in Baubau.

Baubau was also being developed in its food supply and farm product avoiding chemicals.

Amirul said he will be going to Korea along with the head of the Baubau legislative assembly, Korean language teacher, and other related officials.

"I had been invited to Korea to deliver an address to a symposium and the cooperation are expected to produce agreements which would benefit Baubau, especially in agriculture," he added. (*)
