PESAKA at International Folklore Festival in Sabah
Brunei- Keriam Malay Association (PESAKA) has been invited to represent Brunei at the 3rd Sabah International Folklore Festival 2007 which began on Sept 2 and will end on Sept 9. The delegation, comprising 25 participants, is led by Awg Ahanapi bin Haji Mahadi, chairman of PESAKA. The event began with the welcoming dinner hosted for the 13 participating countries which include Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, China, Kazakhstan, Poland, India, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Latvia and Japan. Present as the guest of honour was Datuk Karim Hj Bujang, Sabah Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture & Environment. Photo shows the Brunei delegation prior to their departure to Sabah.
