Today, Final of North Jakarta Abnon

Jakarta, Indonesia - 30 finalists of North Jakarta abang and none (Abnon) will show their abilities in front of panel judges on the Final of North Jakarta Abnon which will be held on Tuesday (6/14) at Fisherman Restaurant, Jl. Karang Bolong Raya No. 8, Ancol. They are required to give their best to be able to represent North Jakarta in the Abnon election of province level.

Head of North Jakarta Tourism Sub-Department Agustine Grace Mandagi said the participants will compete for champions position of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Runner up position of 1st, 2nd and 3rd. "Later on, the winners of 1st, 2nd, 3rd will be sent to the province level championship and will be competed again,” she stated, Sunday (6/12).

Grace explained that besides the Abnons must have special talents, they also must appear attractive, beautiful and handsome, as well as have extensive knowledge about Betawi cultures. "So far, the finalists of North Jakarta Abnon have no problem about knowledge of Betawi cultures and yet, they appear in confident," she expressed.

For the finalists who have more talents, Grace added, it can add their scores in front of the juries. "There are several finalists who have the ability of foreign languages, such as English, Italian, Tagalog, French and Dutch. They even have magic skill and hold Muri record for interior design,” she continued.

The selection process of 2011 Abnon election for North Jakarta has been conducted. It consists of several evaluation aspects, such as culture, personality, foreign languages, governmental and psychology. "The judges have determined 30 finalists of North Jakarta Abnon in accordance with the criteria and last final stage," asserted Grace.
