Themed "Halal Asia Markets - The Untapped Opportunities", the exhibition will feature various activities such as a business seminar and a Halal cuisine competition.

According to organizers, the event is a response to the need to service the emerging Halal market in ASEAN, China, India and the Middle East, adding that Asia offers a staggering multi-billion Halal industry to be tapped. Some 30,000 visitors are expected to attend the event, including representatives of Asia`s trade association, chambers of commerce, government agencies and Halal-related organizations.

In conjunction with the exhibition, there will be a two-day Halal seminar with a theme of "The 21st Century International Market: Asia`s Untapped Opportunities". The seminar reflects the fast growing Halal industry in the region currently gaining momentum in the global market. It will also highlight channels to reap the vast potential of Halal business opportunities in the Asian market.
