Tungku Primary School launches Asean Gallery Corner

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Primary School of Tungku Brunei III yesterday launched its Asean Gallery Corner at its auditorium.

Present at the event were Senior Supervisor Officer for the Brunei I and III District, Cikgu Hj Salim Hj Muntol; Supervisor of Brunei Muara III District, Cikgu Hj Jaruddin Hj Yahya; Supervisor for Brunei I District, Cikgu Hj Awang Ghani; Tungku Primary School Principal, Cikgu Hjh Tujoh Hj Abd Hamid; Penghulu of Mukim Gadong ‘A‘, Awg Hj Tahamit Hj Nudin; Tungku villagehead, Awg Hj Ismail Hj Rejab; and Brunei III school principals and deputy principals.

The guest of honour was Senior Education Officer of Brunei III District, Dyg Hjh Hasnah Kula.

In her speech, she mentioned that the formation of the Asean Gallery Corner is a timely effort as it presented an opportunity for the students to study and gather information on history, culture, population, climate, political situation and language of each Asean nation.

The gallery will also be helping students facing the coming PSR exam to learn geography with better understanding and be prepared with knowledge obtained from the displays set up by the school. (Jon Tampoi)
