A Million Visits to MalayTourism.com
Yogyakarta, MalayTourism.com- Finally, visitors of MalayTourism.com approached a million on Tuesday (9/09/08) 7.53 a.m. One of MalayTourism.com‘s was busy informing other crews that MalayTourism.com‘s visitors have just recently reached a million visits at the time. Yeah, MalayTourism.com, the “second son” of the Center for Research and Development of Malay Culture (BKPBM), is showing good progress right now.
Since published on January 10th, 2008, MalayTourism.com, slow but sure, has shown good progress. The average visitors in a day might reach 10.000 during the first month. Likewise, MalayTourism.com‘s traffic rank on www.alexa.com also creeps up higher (100.558 – red). In addition, on August 23rd, 2008, MalayTourism.com can succeed the official tourism portal of the Republic of Indonesia, www.my-indonesia.info.
“We have been waiting so long for this “sacred number” moment,” Mahyudin Al Mudra – the Head of MalayTourism.com – said. Celebrating this achievement, crews of MalayTourism.com initiated to hold an academic discussion, MoU signing with Sastra Roman of Gadjah Mada University, and banquet for break fasting, on Wednesday (10/09/08) in Balai Pinang Limabuilding. The crews have planned to present Dr. Minako Sakai from the University of New South Wales, Canberra, Australia.
No matter how the crews have been endeavouring hard to achieve that progress, cordial appreciation from all Malay people also plays significant role. Through this press release, crews of MalayTourism.com would like to deliver the deepest gratitude to the readers. For further, MalayTourism.com still need support and appreciation from the readers, especially those in tourism industry who want to advertise on MalayToruism.com.
MalayTourism.com realizes totally that these works will no longer exist if the absent of advertisement or donation to sustain the portal exists for a long time. So far, MalayTourism.com never receives any donation either from private-own institution or governmental institution since the first time the portal was published.
Therefore, by this achievement MalayTourism.com promises to improve the tourism information services to the readers. By the existence of MalayTourism.com, hopefully it can enhance tourism industry in the Malay world.
