Civil Service Institute launches Al-Quran-based management guidance programme
Bandar Seri Begawan - The Civil Service Institute is one of the government organisations in Brunei that plays a vital role in developing and producing excellent civil servants through the teachings of the holy Quran.
One of the programmes organised by the Civil Service Institute is the "Management Guidance based on al-Quran", launched yesterday morning at the institute‘s premises in Kg Rimba.
The nine-day programme was participated by 180 government officers and staff from various departments, and will take place throughout the holy month of Ramadhan.
The programme comprised an al-Quran reciting session, preceded by a routine lesson on perfecting the recitation of Surah al-Fatihah, followed by the guidance lecture for the participants by a lecturer from the Islamic Dakwah Centre on the meanings of several selected verses from the Quran.
Yesterday‘s session on the Quran recitation was delivered by Ustaz Hj Khairul Manan, while the Islamic Dakwah Centre lecturer, Ustaz Awg Hj Badaruddin, talked about ‘Amanah‘, or trust.
Among others, his talk touched upon al-Quran‘s teaching of becoming an honest and trustworthy person. Ustaz Awg Hj Badaruddin also touched on the Muslim‘s ways of working with excellence and giving the best when doing a given task. By Syafiq Affendy
