Singapore: Brunei Prince Visits Singapore`s Military Institute
Singapore - Brunei Crown Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, who is on a four-day official visit to Singapore, visited the Singapore Armed Forces` (SAF) Armour Training Institute at Sungei Gedong Camp here Wednesday (21 Jan).
The prince, who arrived Monday (19 Jan), took a ride in the SAF`s recent acquisition, the Leopard 2A4 main battle tank.
He will visit the Paya Lebar Air Base Thursday (22 Jan) to view a static display of F-16, F5, E-2C aircraft, Apache and Chinook helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles, and to have some hands-on experience on the F-16 training simulator.
He is also scheduled to call on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Istana here Wednesday.
Singapore and Brunei enjoy a long history of close friendship and cooperation, with the friendly ties between the SAF and the Royal Brunei Armed Forces forming an important pillar of this bilateral relationship. Bernama
