Dancing Angels Captivate Indonesian Embassy

Islamabad, Pakistan - The pride of any nation is strongly interlinked to the extent to which it keeps its rich legacies and envied traditions alive and intact. Culture is to a nation like pulse is to life.

Hosted by Butar Latuconsina, wife of Indonesian Envoy and arranged at the Indonesian Embassy, the Kartini`s Day carried thoroughly, an envied account of rich Indonesian aesthetics and norms.

The Day was marked with the national anthem of Indonesia and received traditional reverence and respect from audiences.

The event drenched into rhythm as the Indonesian children and women exhibited some breathtaking stuff to hold the pulse of the crowd, that mostly lot Indonesian women, families and a few diplomats. The lip-synching on Indonesian background music got the floret of young children as well as the aged ones to dance the day away with their extra ordinary performances.

To the pleasant surprise of many, the active participation of Butar Latuconsina flavoured the festivities with fragrance florescence. She danced, cheered and welcomed everyone.

Hers was a “joint venture” with Indonesian Women Association, Foreign Women Association and ASEAN wives. The troika ruled the roost with so classic a stuff.

The people of Indonesia enjoy strong cultural and emotional association with Kartini`s Day, which is marked in the memory of a young ambitious woman who sacrificed her life to liberate the Indonesian women from an anciently suffocated society of Indonesia.

“It`s all because of that great women that today we the Indonesian ladies enjoy equal rights to our male counterparts.

The Indonesian ladies stand second to none, thanks to our beloved Kartini,” said the Envoy`s spouse during her post-programme chic-chat with this correspondent.

Butar still is having her early days in Pakistan as she landed here about a month ago. “I`m in the process of discovering the things. I hope I would keep organising the events like the one I did today,” she resolved.

Adding to the words of Butar, it needs being penned here that Kartini is revered as a pioneer for women freedom.

She emancipated the struggle to give women their due share in Indonesian society, who, at some particular juncture of aeon, were treated as herds of cattle.
