Contractors Association Suggests Yearly Grant From Government

Contractors Association Suggests Yearly Grant From Government

Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu - The Malay Contractors Association Malaysia (PKMM) has suggested the government provide an annual grant to state contractors associations to help them with administration costs.

With such grants, PKMM president Senator Datuk Roslan Awang Chik said, the associations need not look for projects to pay for administration costs and workers salaries.

“If possible, the government need not give projects to the state associations. Instead, just provide them a yearly grant of between RM500,000 and RM1 million for administration costs and salaries,” he said.

Launching the Terengganu PKMM annual general meeting here on Thursday, Roslan said the grants would allow the associations to focus on preparing important information and data for its members.
