Belongings Of WR Supratman Left To Surabaya Government

Surabaya, East Java - Oerip Sudarman, the heir of national hero Wage Rudolf Supratman who created Indonesia`s national anthem, has presented Supratman`s belongings to the Surabaya government.

“I let the government to take care of then,” he said at the Surabaya Regional Cultural and Tourism Office yesterday (6/8).

Oerip who is Supratman`s nephew, 60, came to the office at 1pm.

The submitted belongings include a duplicate of the violin used by Supratman to compose the national anthem Indonesia Raya. Other belongings include his photo collection and several books.

Previously, the belongings were kept at Supratman`s house at Jalan Mangga No.21, Tambaksari, Surabaya. Anang Zakaria
