Sungai Besar Religious School Holds Khatam Al-Quran
Bandar Seri Begawan -To mark the Israk Mikraj celebration, 27 Primary 6 students from Sungai Besar Religious School, Brunei II attended the Khatam al-Quran ceremony.
The function was held to mark the completion of al-Quran recital by certain individuals and groups.
The event, organised by the Sungai Besar Religious School Committee, took place at the Kg Sungai Besar Mosque. The ceremony began with the reading of surah al-fatihah led by the chief guest, Pehin Khatib Hj Metassan bin Hj Tahir, Imam of Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque in the capital. Also present were teachers, officials of Kg Sungai Besar Mosque, and parents of the Khatam al-Quran participants.
A recital of Tahtim was read by Primary 4 and 5 students while a Doa Khatam was read by a participant, Muhd Wafly bin Hj Abd Wahab. A Dikir Asyraqal and Marhaban were conducted by students of Primary 4 and 5. The chief guest then performed the sprinkling of "Bunga Rampai" and presented certificates to the participants. The ceremony ended with a doa selamat.
