It is a variant of Nyanyi Panjang that takes form of a rhythmic prose. It is sung in established expressions and cannot be changed. In its presentation, the established expressions are often recited repeatedly. There are many ancient poetry formulas used in it. Besides, it contains moral advices and messages as well. The content of Nyanyi Panjang Tombo is specific, only related to a certain ethnic subgroup. This kind has the following features: language is restricted in a standard pattern; story is always long: not containing clear details on territorial border of Hutan Tanah Wilayat; containing tunjuk ajar (Malay guidance) and other established expressions; rhythmic storytelling; relatively difficult to learn because the story is long and the recitation requires special skills.
