Asean Corner launched at Pehin Dato Jamil School
Bandar Seri Begawan - Pehin Dato Jamil Primary School Brunei I in Kampong Setia `A` recently held a launching ceremony for its own Asean Corner.
The launching ceremony began with a recital of the Surah al-Fatihah and doa selamat led by Ustaz Haji Hairol Haimi bin Hj Usop followed by a speech from the Cikgu Hasni bte Hj Hashim, Asean Corner assistant.
Later the chief guest, Senior District Education Officer Haji Jaafar bin Hj Ahmad, officiated the launch.
The Asean Corner showcases selected artifacts that best represent or symbolise the identity and various cultures of each nation in the form of narratives, photos or member countries` products.
The programme`s objectives are to educate youths on the formation of Asean, as well as its aims and functions, in addition to strengthening relationships.
After cutting the ribbon, the chief guest toured the exhibition with briefings delivered by Headmaster Cikgu Pg Kamal bin Pg Hj Zulaihi.
