The Ancient Malay Language Phase

The ancient Malay language used inscriptions as the media of writing. Even though the inscriptions have been thousands years, the inscribed texts engraved upon them are still readable understandable. The existence of those inscriptions proves that the Malay language was the official language used at the time.

Concerning the archaeological data, six valuable inscriptions using the ancient Malay language have been discovered by some archaeologists. Scrutinizing the words used in the inscriptions, the archaeologists deduce the ancient Malay language is distinct from the Malay language that comes after.
