Folk Theater
  Folk  theater is a performing art that usually expresses and describes the life  within a certain society. This art is performed as a dance, song, drama, etc  held at a certain time and place in order to articulate the sense of beauty,  entertainment, emotion, anxiety that could not be said obviously through words.  Therefore, the folk theater becomes a mediator by which the people release  their emotion. This performing art always takes a simple form and spontaneity,  and in many cases it unifies with daily life activities. In the performance of randai (danced performed by a group of  people standing in a circle, singing and clapping hands), for example, the  strong relation occurred between the players and spectators. Even, in many cases,  one of spectators joins to give speech during the performance. The strong emotional  relation between the players and the spectators makes the message encompassed  within the performance could be easily understood and accepted. The story of  the performance is often taken from the stories of model and heroism of ancestors  that are modified to be appropriated with the context of time and place where  the art is performed.
